Renowned for his immaculate technique, refined sound and passionate musicianship, the young french cellist Tristan Cornut has already carved out an impressive career worldwide. Since winning the 2007 Stuttgart Domnick Prize, the 2nd Prize at the 2009 Cassado Competition in Japan, and 3rd Prize at the 2010 ARD Cello Competition in Munich, Tristan has been launched into career that has seen him perform as a soloist with many illustrious orchestras, share a stage with some of the worlds’ greatest chamber musicians and be appointed as one of the solo cellists of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen.

His repertoire extends beyond the everyday and includes 20th Century classics such as the cello concertos of Henri Dutilleux, Nicholas Maw and Pehr Nordgren.
