About Alexander Vinnitsky
Alexander Vinnitsky has been granted the high titles of the Honorary Artist of The USSR (1989), People's Artist of Russia (2006), Laureate of International competitions, Professor of The Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, Professor of Sibelius Music Academy in Helsinki, Finland, Professor o the Turku Music Academy, "Suola di Musica di Fiesole" (Italy), a student and follower of the legendary violinist, David Oistrakh.
In 2007 he was awarded one of the most prestigious awards of Finnish musical association "Pro Musica Saatio" for contribution to the development of musical culture.
More than 40 musicians from different countries are studying in his tudio in Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, among them are leaureates of international violin contests: Queen Elisabeth Musical Competition in Brussels, International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, Russia, International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition in Helsinki, Finland, Paganini Competition in Genoa, italy, etc.
Alexander Vinntsky has served on the juries of many international competitions and was a Jury Chairman at all 3 David Oistrakh Violin competitions.
Alexander Vinnitsky performs at solo concerts, has performed in more than 50 countries all over the world and known for the wide-ranging repertoire, extanding from Baroque, Viennese Classics to the romantism and contemporary composers.
The 2017-2018 season in Moscow Conservatory Hall was highlighted by significant musical project by Alexander Vinnitsky: "All Violin Compositions by W.A. Mozart for violin with Orchestra" with his cadenzas which were published by prestigious Russian publishing house "Music".
